A British Methodist speaks to a French newspaper about the riots

Regular readers will know that the area around our church has been convulsed by riots in recent weeks. On Friday I went to place a floral tribute at the site of the death of three local young Asian men in Dudley Road. I was approached by a French journalist. This what I said  Back in September and please keep praying!

On the page there is a translation button which produces a version that is slightly eccentric but readable!

That's probably a function of the Google toolbar, or Bing, which doesn't work with the latest version of Firefox. I have sought but not found.

David and Claire Hallam, members of the Methodist Church located two blocks from the scene. According to David, "in this area, there often stories about problems between communities, but no permanent tension". "We are all British. That's how we think! While there is much to do, we must get to the kids on the streets. We have work in this area since 1983 and we believe Jesus loves this neighborhood. People will go forward! "
